Do you know how many Viradinhas, Laterais or Simple Turns exist to lead and follow? Let’s find out by exploring as many variations as we can fit in each class! Then, when we go out to social dance locally or anywhere in the workd, we’ll be able to dance with as many people as possible 👍
This course has 7 hour-long classes recorded live and 1 pre-recorded class. Classes are structured with a mix of breakdowns for leads and follows, moments to follow along, feedback, and guided practice.
Every Unit is structured with sequences that’ll help you train and ingrain good habits to safely explore and combine variations of Brazilian Zouk Fundamentals. The focus of this course is to experiment and grow your social dancing to be more connected and flowy, and to learn which variations work best for your way of expressing those moves and feelings in your body.
You don’t need a partner for this course. You’ll be able to practice all of the concepts solo. However, if you have a partner, you can benefit from doing it together.
This class is intended for anyone interested in learning more about the dance, regardless of roles when dancing. The most comfortable and confident dancers are those who have learned and experienced all sides of the dance, and here at District Zouk, we highly recommend every dancer learn them all!
Brazilian Zouk is a quickly evolving dance style and every time we dance with people from other areas, we find out that they have variations of the Fundamentals. This course will help you learn or refresh to be on top of the trends and most common combinations and variations out there.
