Welcome back to another course of Technique & Drills with a lot of repetition!

We are very excited to step it up and get more complex with our combinations while still enhancing our foundations and keeping it yummy.

In Brazilian Zouk, we can almost say that ‘anything is possible’ and to some extent, it's a fairly new dance style that makes it even more exciting because we always have new things to explore.

During this course we will explore fun and versatile ways to connect the Fundamentals we all love to dance and improve the flow and feeling of our social dancing.

Join us in this cool and yummy brand new course and have a great time dancing a

HOW DOES IT WORK?

This course took place over the course of 8 weeks. There will be 6 hour long classes and 2 shorter pre-recorded ones with follow-along and assignments. Classes are a mix of talking, experiencing with exercises, moments to follow along, and sharing with each other.

Classes are structured with a mix of breakdowns, moments to follow along, and A LOT of guided practice and feedback.

Every week we will be focusing on a different aspect of the dance with exercises that can be done in the comfort of your home, with or without a partner. Some of the classes are best when taken consecutively as content builds on previous classes, while other classes are stand alone.

For this course, it's important that you stay consistent with your learning, and when possible, it will be very helpful to review each class and practice at least once before moving onto the next.

This will be a course that will explore the small details and how you can connect with your own body to perform those techniques with ease and confidence, and feel amazing.

DO I NEED A PARTNER? IS THIS FOR LEADERS OR FOLLOWERS?

This is a solo class intended for anyone interested in learning more about the dance, regardless of roles when dancing.

The most comfortable and confident dancers are those who have learnt and experienced all sides of the dance, and here at District Zouk, we highly recommend every dancer learn them all!

WHY SHOULD I JOIN?

Brazilian Zouk is a beautiful dance that carries influences from many solo and partnered styles. In order to move safely, comfortably and with confidence, it's important to make sure you have a good foundation so you can build on top of it when it's time to explore more advanced techniques.

When dancing, the more you know, the more doors you can open, for both leaders and followers. There's a world of knowledge to be explored, especially in partnered dancing due to the connection that both bodies need to create together. The more you know, the more you can explore and dance all night.

When joining this course, you'll be part of a group of students who are eager to practice, ask questions and share their own experience. This is why we love LIVE classes! We want to make sure we're always interacting and giving feedback, because… well, nobody likes to practice without feedback and knowing that they're on the right track!

This is also a way you can support our instructors - some of whom teach dance as their full-time occupation - and they can support you during this time.
